Ticketmaster processes 480 million tickets every year globally across all genres of live entertainment. Following a competitive tender process, the agent will provide the full ticketing service for events at the four venues for the next 8 years.

As well as providing leading technology solutions, unrivalled marketing reach and customer insight, Ticketmaster will offer dedicated contact centre support services. Visitors will also soon be able to take advantage of an app where they will be able to pre-order food and drinks, or order direct from their seats.

Councillor John Reynolds, Cabinet Member for City Economy said: "A new ticket provider was required at our box office to meet the demand in changing technology and to bring our venues up to date.

"The newly formed partnership with Ticketmaster will make buying tickets quick and easy, while also soon offering the opportunity to pre-book food and drinks so that customers can enjoy more time at live events with their friends and family."

Andrew Parsons, Managing Director, Ticketmaster UK, said: "At Ticketmaster we have been working very hard to ensure our client box office tools remain best in class and we are very excited to be able to team up here with City of Wolverhampton Council's iconic venues.

"Ticketmaster will be providing a faster, more engaging purchase experience for visitors and will soon enable customers to order food and drink before a show, or even direct from their seats, with our app."

Tickets for city venues will go live with Ticketmaster at wolves civic from Monday 16 October, 2017, and tickets can also be purchased by calling 0870 320 7000, or in person at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
