Three driving forces in the city are coming together to help people transform their lives with a huge jobs and opportunities fair next week.

A wide range of experts will be on hand next Wednesday to help people turn their dreams into reality when it comes to getting the jobs and future career they want.

The Workbox Live event is open to everyone and is the first of its kind hosted by the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cost of Living team with Wolves at Work and the University of Wolverhampton.

From getting the right financial help and advice to writing a CV which will help you stand out from the crowd, there will be all kinds of expert help and guidance on offer.

The Jobs and Opportunities Fair will be hosted by the University at Chancellors Hall, the Wulfruna Building on Wulfruna Street (WV1 1SE).

Leader of the City of Wolverhampton Council, Councillor Stephen Simkins said: ‘Just because times are tough right now and people may be cutting back on their spending, they shouldn’t cut back on their future hopes and ambitions.

‘As a council we are doing all kinds of things to ensure the current cost of living crisis does not affect the future of our residents, we want people to thrive and realise their ambitions.

‘I’m glad we’ve been able to get together with the University and other key partners to bring together a host of experts all in one place. I’d encourage anyone interested in transforming their lives and careers to go along.’

What’s on offer at next week’s fair:

  • Workshops
  • Financial support
  • Host of employers from wide range of sectors
  • Information about local training opportunities
  • 1-2-1 Support with CV's
