Voluntary groups who work with children and young people in Wolverhampton are being encouraged to apply for funding to deliver activities, workshops and events as part of the Yo! Wolves October half term offer.

The application process is open until Wednesday 20 September. To find out more and receive an application form, please email haf@wolverhampton.gov.uk

The activities that are provided with the funding will form part of the Yo! Wolves holiday offer for children and young people and be featured on the Yo! Wolves website, Yo! Wolves.

Emma Bennett, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Executive Director of Families, said: “I would encourage any voluntary organisation in Wolverhampton which provides services to young people and meets the application criteria to apply for this funding.

“It is an opportunity for local organisations to get support to provide activities that will benefit young people in the city during the upcoming October half term.”

The funding has been announced by the Youth Engagement Strategic Board (#YES Board), which comprises young people aged 11-18. The board, which was launched in November 2020, is supported by council’s Coproduction and Youth Engagement Team and plays an integral role in ensuring that the Yo! Wolves programme is co-produced with young people and other voluntary organisations across the city.
