Residents looking for help and support on a range of money, health and safety matters, are welcome to come along to an open day in Tettenhall next month.

Help at the Hub will see a wide variety of city organisations offer free advice and information to residents. The event will take place on Thursday 5 October in Room 4 at The Institute, Wood Road, Tettenhall Wood, WV6 8NF, between 10am and 2pm.

The event has been organised by officers at City of Wolverhampton Council’s Public Protection Scams Team who will be handing out free scams awareness and prevention packs.

Representatives from Admiral Nurses, Carer Support, Cost of Living advisors, Healthwatch, Neighbourhood Safety Co-ordinator, P3, Public Protection, Revenue and Benefits Team, SUIT, Warmer Homes West Midlands, Wolverhampton College, Wolverhampton Homes and Wolves Foundation will be available on the day.

John Roseblade, director of resident services at City of Wolverhampton Council, said: “This will be the ninth in our series of Help at the Hub days which take support and advice into local communities.

“People can pop in and find help with concerns they may have about health and finances, advice on security or discover more about how to develop skills and find opportunities for learning.”

People do not have to book an appointment but are asked to please be prepared to wait if the event is busy.
