The Visit the City of Wolverhampton summer programme is into its final week - and there is still plenty to enjoy.

City partners have come together to entice residents and visitors with a host of free or purse friendly activities and offers since Friday 30 June.

The programme will wrap up with one of the Black Country's oldest fairground families - The Harry Jones Company - making a welcome return to West Park for the Wolverhampton Fiesta on Saturday 15 July and Sunday 16.

Prior to that visitors can take in the free Young People's Music Concert, at Wolverhampton Art Gallery on Friday at 1.10pm.

On Saturday, there is a VIP Music Fair at the Slade Rooms, and an outdoor production of Bellevue Hotel at Bantock House. Sunday will see a Rock 'n' Roll afternoon at Bantock Park.

For those looking to take in the surroundings of Wolverhampton's fabulous parks, while keeping active and meeting new people, why not join in one of the many group walks on offer.

Or visitors can stimulate their minds by viewing one of the many exhibitions at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

Enjoy the 'Wolves in Wolves' sculpture trail - a guided fun walk around the city centre showcasing wolves decorated by different artists and placed around the city to create the largest public art event in the City of Wolverhampton.

Browse the shops and indulge yourself in the restaurants, cafes and bars.

Councillor John Reynolds, City of Wolverhampton Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "Wolverhampton is a vibrant, thriving city with plenty to offer every day of the year.

"The summer Visit the City of Wolverhampton programme is proving a big hit so far, especially the flagship Festival of Food and Drink last weekend, which saw 18,500 people attend.

"There is even more on offer between now and Sunday, and it is a great way to sample places you might not normally think of visiting."
