City of Wolverhampton Council’s wholly owned housing development company, WV Living, is inviting visitors to explore its 2 show homes at Hampton Park during the Christmas season.

The fully furnished ‘Chestnut’, a 4 bedroomed house and the ‘Juniper’, a 2 bedroomed house are both available to view. The show homes have been beautifully designed, showcasing stylish interiors and exceptional quality and attention to detail.

  • Thursday 28 December - 10am to 3pm

The development, which is on Northwood Park Road, Bushbury, is on the site of the former Northicote School. Named after former headteacher Sir Geoff Hampton, the recently released phase four of the development is set to offer even more opportunities for prospective homeowners.

The 178 low carbon homes are being delivered by WV Living’s appointed contractor GreenSquareAccord and will include 29 affordable rent and 16 shared ownership homes.

Councillor Steve Evans, Council Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “This is a fantastic development, and the show homes are a great way for potential homeowners to imagine their families living in this new community.

“The incorporation of fire suppression systems and electric vehicle charging points at each home reflects the company's dedication to modern, sustainable living. In addition, GreenSquareAccord’s commitment to sustainable futures is a real strength and aligns well with the council’s carbon neutral aims.

“It is clear WV Living is committed to community enhancement and building better homes in well connected neighbourhoods across the city.”

Sally Saunders, Managing Director at WV Living, said: “Our meticulously crafted show homes and thoughtfully designed developments are more than houses, they are the embodiment of a lifestyle where comfort meets sophistication, making them perfect havens for individuals seeking a harmonious place to call home.

“By choosing our developments, you're not only securing a haven for your family but also investing in the growth of a vibrant neighbourhood. This festive season, we extend an open invitation for you to experience the warmth and joy within our homes, where the spirit of community thrives year round.”

In addition to visiting the 2 show homes over the festive season, people also have an opportunity to view both show homes in a 3D virtual tour:

The development has seen the eco 200 product range homes, provided by LoCaL Homes, a subsidiary of GreenSquareAccord, with insulated and fully clad panels delivered to site with external finishes attached. This will ensure energy efficient properties are achieved to help reduce running costs, with minimum disruption for residents moving in.

The off site construction means the homes are being built cleaner, quicker, and with less waste compared to other traditional builds. The new homes have great thermal performance and are low carbon making the build more environmentally sustainable.

City of Wolverhampton Council declared a 'climate emergency' in July 2019. To support national efforts to combat climate change the council is committed to reducing its own carbon emissions by 95 per cent by 2028 and, following public consultation, has set the target of achieving the same results for the city by 2041, in line with the region.
