Back by popular demand, the Mayor of Wolverhampton’s Mayoral Charity Quiz night is taking place on Thursday 15 February.

The quiz which starts at 7pm will be hosted by local radio personality Dicky Dodd in the City Suite, Civic Centre and teams wishing to participate must book in advance. The ticket price also includes a fish and chip supper.

The Mayoral Charity Quiz raises money for the Mayor’s chosen charities and this year these are:  

  • Give Us A Break, a Wolverhampton volunteer-run charity organising family activities for young people with complex disabilities
  • The Haven Wolverhampton which supports women and children who are vulnerable to domestic abuse and homelessness
  • Wings and Paws Wolverhampton, a voluntary-run animal rescue charity

The Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Dr Michael Hardacre, said: “The annual Mayoral Charity Quiz night is always a lot of fun, complete with delicious fish and chips, and raises crucial funds to help local good causes. Team places are limited so if you want to enter a team, then book soon to avoid missing out. I look forward to seeing you there.”

The event consists of 16 teams, each containing a maximum of four players. The quiz will comprise of 10 rounds, all featuring a different theme or subject. An entry fee of £60 for a team of four people is required to participate and all profits will benefit the charities previously mentioned.

Fish and chips from The Island House will be provided on the night (included in the ticket price). If you have any specific dietary requests or requirements, please email mayoral@wolverhampton.gov.uk and we shall ensure these are catered for.
