Harvest Festival at Northycote Farm on Sunday

More traditional harvest festival celebrations are lined up at a Wolverhampton farm attraction this weekend.

Northycote Farm and Country Park is hosting its annual Harvest Festival on Sunday 24 September.

Visitors can enjoy the traditional harvest service as well as crafts, stalls, demonstrations and live music from 11am until 4pm. Entry and parking is free.

The short open air service starts at 3.15pm and it will be followed by an auction of the donated harvest produce, with the money raised going to charity.

Councillor John Reynolds, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Economy, said: "Northycote is the perfect setting for a harvest festival and there's lots lined up throughout the day to entertain families looking for an affordable day out."

Northycote Farm, in Underhill Lane, is just ten minutes' drive from the centre of Wolverhampton and is a wonderful working farm surrounded by 90 acres of mature woodland, fields, the babbling Berry Brook and untouched meadowland.

Chickens, pigs and sheep live on Northycote Farm, which is also home to a huge variety of wildlife in the surrounding countryside.
