Join event and find out about the #SmallGoodThings

Individuals and organisations large and small are set to come together next week to celebrate the #SmallGoodThings people can do to improve the quality of their life or the lives of others.

#SmallGoodThings and aims to not only give people the chance to find out about the help and support available from voluntary and community groups, but also share the little things they do which can make them - and others - feel better.

A number of local groups have signed up to take part in the event, organised by the City of Wolverhampton Council's Community Support Service, including community organisations, charities and health and social care providers.

Councillor Hazel Malcolm, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: "We know that even little things can make a big difference to a person's quality of life.

"The aim of #SmallGoodThings is to celebrate the many small, good things going on in and around Wolverhampton, highlight the steps people can take to help themselves and others, and encourage individuals and organisations to think how they could make a real difference to other people's lives.

"The help available from the council is widely known; what this event is all about is highlighting what other support is available out there in the community - and how people should go about accessing it."

Among the organisations taking part are Starfish Wolverhampton Social Hub, Access to Business, St Columbas Day Centre, Silverline, the Terence Higgins Trust, Harriet's Meals and many more.

"#SmallGoodThings takes place at the Tabernacle Baptist Church on Dunstall Road, Wolverhampton, on Friday 22 June from 10am to 2pm and entry is free.
