Coronavirus Update

Wolverhampton Central Library, Bilston, Penn, Pendeford, Warstones and Wednesfield Library are now open for controlled browsing and computer use, with limited capacity. We are restricting the number of customers into the library at any one time and to control numbers, customers must book a 30-minute session in advance. For more information and opening times please visit Controlled Browsing.

The Select and Collect service is at East Park, Whitmore Reans, Low Hill and Spring Vale libraries, with dedicated collection times at each branch. The libraries will remain closed to customers at this time.

In order to keep everyone as safe as possible, the library service will continue with the majority of its Covid-safe working practices to ensure our libraries can carry on playing their part in reducing the spread of the virus. This means that, amongst other measures, staff will continue to wear face coverings with visitors urged to do likewise if they can.

Returning books during COVID-19

Several libraries across the city are either offering controlled browsing or our select and collect service. Customers will continue to drop their returns in the boxes provided. The books will be quarantined for 72 hours, your library account will not be updated until after this period.
