If you have been asked to leave and have already left the property and are homeless, or are at risk of becoming homeless very soon, contact Housing Options on 01902 556789 or via email@example.com
If you are not in immediate risk, please see the information below.
The problem of rough sleeping is by no means unique to Wolverhampton, so at the same time as identifying local solutions that work for our city and its specific needs, we are working with the West Midlands Combined Authority to tackle rough sleeping as part of a coordinated regional response.
Home is a secure base for life.
Without this people are unable to lead settled lives, maintain employment and provide an environment that will help their children escape poverty. Prolonged periods of homelessness can develop or exacerbate existing vulnerabilities, such as substance misuse and mental health conditions, which destabilise family and support networks.
We aim to ensure that no-one will sleep rough on the streets of Wolverhampton.
Our aim is to:
- provide a rapid response to new rough sleepers
- provide support based on everyone's needs, meaning no-one needs to spend a second night on the street
- help rough sleepers to access a place of safety
- reconnect rough sleepers from outside the area with their community.
How to help
If you’re concerned about someone sleeping rough, download the StreetLink App or visit streetlink.org.uk to get them help. StreetLink is the nationally recognised way of alerting support agencies to someone who may be sleeping rough. The website or app can be used by anyone to log details of where someone is seen sleeping rough. Alerts in the Wolverhampton area are passed on to our commissioned outreach service who will visit the location and offer assistance to anyone seen.
Or, please telephone our outreach team service during normal working hours, Monday to Friday, on 01902 427017. For out of hours please call 0800 1076753. Late opening: 5pm-11pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. P3 Navigator is located at 43 School Street, Wolverhampton WV1 4LR
