The theme of this year's Mental Health Foundation campaign is kindness and seeks to highlight the positive impact that acts of kindness, both large and small, can have on people's mental health and wellbeing – particularly during difficult times such as these.

During the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen an overwhelming desire amongst local people to do good for others, reminding us that even during these uncertain times, there is also community, support and hope.

We want to celebrate this, and so are encouraging children, families and people of all ages across the City to share examples of how they have supported others,  or been kind to themselves. We also want people to say a very public thank you to others who have been supportive to them.

If you would like to celebrate an act of kindness, please complete the form below:

Please describe in no more than 200 words either:

  • An act of kindness that either you’ve done or someone has done for you, this could be picking up shopping for someone, checking up on someone who is self-isolating, volunteering your time or donating money to a good cause.

  • Or a way in which you have been kind to yourself, perhaps by simply ensuring you have some well-deserved 'me time', as well as making the most of time with children and families to re-connect and support each other during these difficult past few weeks

Feel free to upload your pictures or other examples of kindness. These can be as creative as possible, including drawings, videos, poems and paintings!
