Covid-19 benefits helpline

The Covid-19 benefits helpline may be used by people living in Wolverhampton who are worried about their Social Security benefit rights and entitlements following the Covid-19 outbreak. It can provide information and advice to people on what benefits they can claim during this period and how any existing benefits might be affected as a result of Covid-19.

What benefits can you claim?

The helpline offers free and confidential advice and information across a whole range of Social Security Benefits including advice on what benefits you may apply for including Statutory Sick Pay, Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit.

Impact on existing benefits

You can use the helpline to find out what (if any) impact the current situation may have on your existing benefits. You may be worried because you get Personal Independence Payment, Employment and Support Allowance and Universal Credit and have forms to complete or a medical to attend.  The helpline which is run by the Council’s Welfare Rights Service can be accessed at:

Monday to Friday 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm.
