Before making your application please ensure that you have read and understood the Secondary Education in Wolverhampton booklet (available in the download section) which contains important information about making your school place application.

Applications must be made by the national closing date for applications of 31 October 2023. Making an application after the closing date can reduce the chance of your child gaining a place at one of your preferred school choices.

You are allowed to express a preference for five schools. Due to the popularity of Wolverhampton schools, you are encouraged to use all five preferences.

In addition to the online application, if you are applying to the following schools you are required to complete an additional Supplementary Information Form. The form should be completed and returned direct to the school:

  • Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy (in the download section)
  • St Edmund's Catholic Academy (in the download section)
  • St. Peter's Collegiate School (in the download section)
  • St Regis Church of England Academy
  • The Royal School, Wolverhampton

Applying online has the following benefits:

  • Applications are made through a secure website
  • Applications can be viewed/edited online up to the closing date for applications (31 October 2023)
  • Applicants can access their child's school place allocation online on 1 March 2024 rather than having to wait for the post
