You can view your bills online, to view a copy of your bill you will need to register for an account, this will allow you to log in and view your bill at any time. The account is called Wolverhampton City Council online service.

Once you have registered for an online account, you can also switch to paperless billing. If you have registered for paperless billing, when a bill is produced you will receive an email from noreply@wolverhampton.gov.uk to notify you that a bill is available to view. Please note, this email may go into your junk folder.
You will need to log in to your account to view this bill as it will not be included in the email you receive. You do not need to wait for an email to log in and view your bills.

If you have an online account but have not registered for paperless billing, you will still receive any bills that are produced as a paper bill when issued.

Registering for paperless billing will only set up the email notification when a bill is available, you need to create the online account to view the bill.

Important: If you are jointly liable with another person for paying council tax, they also need to be registered to receive an e-bill. Please ask them to register to receive their council tax bill electronically.

What is online billing?

Online billing is a secure web portal similar to 'online banking' that allows City of Wolverhampton Council customers to view their account information in real-time, from any location, on any device at your convenience. The information available includes current & previous year bills, current instalment plans and next payment date & amount. You can use this service to make a Council Tax payment and also sign up for paperless billing which means you will receive a notification when your bill has been changed.

I have forgotten my username/password. What should I do?

If you have forgotten your username or password you can request that these are reset using the links on the sign in page.

What happens if I move to a new house?

Once you have registered for online billing you will be able to access all of your council tax accounts within the City of Wolverhampton area.  If you move address and remain within the City of Wolverhampton area your new bills will automatically be made available to you through your secure login.  If you have chosen paperless billing you new bill will also be issued this way.

What do I do if I’ve registered for paperless and I’ve changed my email address?

If you have registered for paperless billing and you haven’t registered for an account, you need to contact us to advise of your new email address.
