Details and policy of the CARF scheme for 2021/22

COVID-19 Additional Relief Fund - CARF

The government has allocated funds for every council to provide assistance to businesses who have been, and continue to be, adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic but have been ineligible for existing business rates linked support.

Subject to Subsidy Control (a replacement for State Aid), eligible businesses will receive 26.75% off the bill, after other reliefs have been taken off, for the year 2021/22.

The relief is only available for occupied premises; for businesses that have not received any Expanded Retail Discount or Nurseries Discount.

CARF has been granted automatically to those businesses the council believes are eligible.

Full details of CARF can be found in the Wolverhampton CARF Policy available in the Downloads section.
