You can request copies of certificates if a birth, marriage or death was registered in Wolverhampton from 1837 to the present day.

All standard certificate applications are subject to a 15 working days turnaround once you have submitted your online application and payment.

Priority Certificates

Posting

If you select the option to post your Priority Certificate, please note, any orders received after 10:30am will be posted the following working day. 

Collecting

If you choose to collect your Priority Certificate, please note, any orders received by 2:30pm can be collected from Customer Services Reception after 1.5 hours. Reception closes at 4:30pm. Any orders for collection received after 2:30pm will be ready for collection after 9:00am the following working day.

If the birth, death, or marriage happened in one of these areas, City of Wolverhampton Council will not hold the certificate and the certificate fee will not be refunded once the application is submitted and the statutory certificate fee(s) paid.
