The licence aims to protect the welfare of animals whilst under your care and the protection of other persons from harm.
When we grant a licence, we take into account the suitability of the accommodation and whether the animals are well fed and protected from disease and fire.
When we grant a licence we must satisfy ourselves that there are no safety, nuisance or animal welfare issues and that you are a suitable person to hold a licence.
In addition, your premises must be inspected by a veterinary surgeon or veterinary practitioner.
