Following the Prime Minister’s announcement, all ceremonies, notice of marriage appointments and standard certificate applications are now deferred until after the pandemic episode. The civic centre is currently closed and our team are available for death registrations by telephone only. Please submit your ceremony enquiries and certificate applications once the Civic Centre has re-opened to the public. We will update this page once the restrictions are relaxed and we have re-opened. Please contact us on 01902 555777 or email Register.Office@wolverhampton.gov.uk
From 17th August 2020 we will be contacting all couples who have had ceremonies deferred since lockdown in Wolverhampton Register Office and the City Suite. Due to covid-19 restrictions numbers will be limited to the ceremony couple and two adult witnesses only attending the ceremony. Please do not contact us at the moment to re-schedule your ceremony – we will be contacting couples in order of the original ceremony date.
If your authorities to marry run out before December 2020, you can reschedule your ceremony with the venue and we will offer new Notice of Marriage appointments free of charge to those who live in Wolverhampton. These will have to be given at least 30 days before the date of your newly arranged ceremony.
Those couples who live outside of Wolverhampton should contact their local register office to find out what arrangements they have put in place.
