As part of the preparation of a new Wolverhampton Local Plan we are refreshing our invitation for land owners, developers and others to submit details of sites they think would be suitable for housing or employment development in future years.

Site details can be submitted to us by completing the Call for Housing Sites Form or the Call for Employment Sites Form in the Downloads section and emailing this to localplan@wolverhampton.gov.uk

The Call for Sites is an on-going process and there is no deadline for submission of site details.

Where a site is being promoted for housing, the site will be considered for inclusion in the next published Wolverhampton Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) report as a site suitable and developable for housing under current planning policy.  If the site is considered not suitable or developable for housing it will also be listed in the SHLAA, with a clear explanation provided. Please see Housing Site Information for further details.

Where a site is being promoted for employment development, this can include: manufacturing, research and development (Use Class E(g)(ii), E(g)(iii) and B2), warehousing (Use Class B8), other uses that are appropriately located in industrial employment areas, and offices (Use Class E(g)(i)).

Site boundaries for “call for sites” which were submitted through the Black Country Plan review can be viewed on an interactive map. It is not necessary to submit a new Call for Sites Form for these sites.
