There are three main areas covered by JWCs:
Measures the nature and frequency of the Emotional Demands on the job holder from contact or work with other people.
Measures the type, amount, continuity and frequency of the physical effort required by the job.
Measures the exposure to weather, working environment and adverse people behaviour.
As these factors vary for different jobs, they are excluded from each generic Job Family Role Profile. Individual points scored in these areas are added to the total for the profile allocated to the job. These additional points may have an impact on the grade for the post. However, this is not automatic as it is governed by the range of points within the appropriate pay grade.
