The statutory review of polling districts and polling places which launched on 1 October 2018, is now in the second stage of consultation. In response to your feedback in the first stage we have drafted a set of proposals to focus primarily on the reduction of schools in use on future polling days while ensuring polling stations remain accessible and convenient for electors.
We are asking for feedback on our proposals to amend polling stations and polling districts in time for their implementation in January 2020. Please provide your views on the suitability of the polling stations and changes proposed in your area, any relevant personal experience when using the polling station and suggestions for other suitable locations for future polls.
The second stage of the consultation runs from 12 September 2019 to 2 October. Relevant documents and future consultation information will be displayed on this page throughout the review. All submissions and comments will be made available for public inspection as part of the review, but this will be anonymous, and any personal details will not be made public.
