City of Wolverhampton Council undertook a Finance Peer Review to provide scrutiny of our financial management and budget setting processes. The Peer Team, made up of colleagues from across the Public Sector, conducted a three-day review in 2016 and fed back their key findings. In September 2017 they visited the Council again as part of the follow-up process to see how progress had been made on key recommendations which were raised in the first visit. Their findings from that session are contained within this report and set out the Council's position and progress on its financial management.
The Local Government Association (LGA) helps support the continued development of councils through a Peer Review programme.
