Please put your bin on the kerbside before 7am on your collection day and remove your bin from the kerbside by the end of your collection day.

Recycling bin (Black bin)

Please place items for recycling loose in your black bin - please do not use bags.

  • textiles, clothing or bedding ✖

  • any other General waste ✖

We will class this as a contaminated bin and will not collect it.

Additional recycling

We do not collect any recyclable items in black bags or other plastic bags.

We do not offer more than 1 black recycling bin.  Please contact the Waste and Recycling Team for more information.

These items need to be taken to the rubbish tip.

Excess household waste

We do not collect any household waste that is not inside your general waste bin.

We do not offer more than 1 general waste bin. However, you can request a larger general waste bin if there are 7 or more people living in the household. You will need to provide proof of this. Please contact the Waste and Recycling Team for more information.

Optional - Garden waste bin (paid-for service, purple bin)

Please ensure that all garden waste is placed loosely in your purple bin and not in bags.

If you only have a small amount of garden waste in your bin, it will still be collected. Do not overfill your garden waste bin. If it is too heavy for our staff to move it will not be emptied.
