The Bilston Corridor Area Action Plan will set out what the area should be like in 2026 and what changes need to happen to achieve this.

In accordance with Regulation 22(3) of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, notice is hereby given that as of 15 November, 2013, the Bilston Corridor Area Action Plan Publication Report and associated documents was submitted to the Secretary of State for examination by an independently appointed Inspector.

Planning Inspector Details

The Secretary of State appointed Mr Peter Drew BSc (Hons) Dip TP (Dist) MRTP as an independent Inspector to conduct the examination.

Programme Officer Details

Lisa Turner was appointed as the Programme Officer (PO) for the Examination in Public of the Bilston Corridor Area Action Plan including Bilston Neighbourhood Plan. The PO acted as the liaison between the Council, the public and the appointed Inspector. The main function of the PO is to assist the Inspector in all procedural and administrative aspects of the Examination in Public. Contact details for the PO are programme.officer@wolverhampton.gov.uk or 07552 211472.

Examination in Public Details

There were no hearing sessions for the Bilston Corridor AAP.

Main Modifications

The main modifications to the AAP have now been proposed to address issues of soundness. There was a six week consultation on these main modifications and a number of minor modifications, between 29 April 2014 and 11 June 2014. This consultation has now closed.

Inspector's Report

The Inspector Report was published in June 2014. The Inspector found that the Plan is "sound" subject to a small number of modifications, which were subject to public consultation during May/June (see above).
