The Area Action Plans will guide the transformation of these areas and provide detailed policies and proposals to deliver the Black Country Core Strategy at a local level. The area action plans will, when adopted, form part of the Development Plan for Wolverhampton, and will replace some allocations and policies in the Unitary Development Plan.
City Centre Area Action Plan

Stafford Road Corridor Area Action Plan
The Stafford Road Corridor covers the area along the Stafford Road (A449) extending from Junction 2 of the M54 to the outskirts of Wolverhampton city centre.

Bilston Corridor Area Action Plan including Bilston Neighbourhood Plan
The Bilston Corridor extends from the edge of Wolverhampton city centre in the north to Loxdale industrial area in the south. It includes Bilston Town Centre and parts of

- Ettingshall
- Monmore Green
- Bilston
- Ladymoor
- Loxdale
- Bradley
A neighbourhood plan-type approach has been taken to preparing the Bilston part of the Bilston Corridor AAP area. This means that the policies and proposals for Bilston have been developed by a Neighbourhood Plan-type group. This includes community and business representatives, supported by the council.
No part of this document is a Neighbourhood Plan as set out in the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
