Safer Streets for Everyone

Our Road Safety Team is committed to making streets across the city safer, easier to navigate, and more accessible for all. Using data, community feedback, and practical interventions, we tackle areas of concern, protect vulnerable road users, and encourage safer, healthier travel.

From reducing collisions and improving pedestrian and cycling facilities, to creating safer journeys to school and addressing local traffic issues, our programmes focus on targeted, evidence-based solutions that make a real difference in neighbourhoods.

Road safety interventions are prioritised based on evidence, with road traffic collisions a key factor.
