Wolverhampton residents are reminded that the city's two household waste and recycling centres will change to their winter opening hours from Monday 30 September.

The sites at Anchor Lane, Lanesfield and Shaw Road, Bushbury, operate reduced hours between October and March when they are traditionally less busy.

The revised hours will still see at least one of the facilities open every day of the week in the city.

Anchor Lane will be open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 6pm, on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 4.30pm and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Shaw Road will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 6pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 4.30pm and closed on Thursdays and Fridays.

People can dispose of all sorts of items at the waste and recycling centres free of charge including garden waste, rubble, fridges, freezers and furniture, scrap metal, timber bulky plastic items and tyres.
