The clinics will offer free adult flu vaccinations to all eligible groups, including pregnant women, those aged 65 years and over, those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups, carers, frontline health and social care workers, and close contacts of immunocompromised individuals.
Meanwhile, for children aged 2 and 3, both the nasal spray and the injectable (gelatine free) vaccines will be available.
No appointment is required and clinics will be taking place at:
- Asda, Wolverhampton Road, Heath Town, on Saturday (18 October) from 10am to 2pm
- Queen Square, Wolverhampton, on Monday 20 October from 10am to 3pm
- The Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Well Lane, Wednesfield, on Monday 27 October from 10am to 3pm
- Queen Square, Wolverhampton, on Monday 3 November from 10am to 3pm
- Sainsbury's St Marks, Raglan Street, Wolverhampton, on Tuesday 11 November from 10am to 3pm
- Queen Square, Wolverhampton, on Monday 17 November from 10am to 3pm.
There are also sessions just across the border at Morrisons, Willenhall, on Thursdays 23 October and 6 November from 10am to 3pm on both days.
Councillor Obaida Ahmed, the City of Wolverhampton Council's Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Community, said: "By getting vaccinated, you’ll be helping to protecting yourself and those around you from flu this winter."
As well as the walk in clinics, pre booked appointments are also available through GPs and some local pharmacies.
