Adopting a child and bringing him or her up as part of your family is a big step. We encourage people from Wolverhampton and the surrounding regions to find out more about adoption.

The eligibility criteria for adoption includes people who are single, in a relationship whether married or not, a same sex couple, in employment or not working, or already have children or not. You also must have been living as a resident in the UK for at least 12 months. You also must be 21 or above, have been living as a resident in the UK for at least 12 months.

City of Wolverhampton Council works in partnership with the regional adoption agency for the Black Country, Adoption@Heart. Their experienced team will help to answer any questions you have and guide you through the process.
