This applies to children born from 1 September 2014 to 31 August 2015 in their final year of primary or junior school.

Key Dates

  • Application Deadline: 31 October 2025 (for Year 7 places in September 2026)
  • Allocation Day: 2 March 2026, you can find out which school your child has been offered

Who Can Apply?

  • Children starting Year 7 in September 2026
  • Children transferring from Middle to Secondary school (Year 8 or Year 9)

How to Apply

  • If you missed the deadline, you can still apply using the late application form (see downloads section).
  • Apply through your home Local Authority, even if you want a school in a different council area.

Choosing Schools

  • You can list up to five schools as your preferences.
  • Wolverhampton schools are popular, so use all five preferences if possible.

Supplementary Information Form 

If you are applying to any of these schools, you must also fill out a Supplementary Information Form and send it directly to the school:

  • Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy
  • St Edmund's Catholic Academy
  • St Peter's Collegiate School
  • St Regis Church of England Academy
  • The Royal School, Wolverhampton

  • Each school has its own admissions policy, explaining how places are allocated if there are more applicants than places. You can find these policies on each school’s website.

Checking Your School Offer

  • If you applied online, check your child’s school allocation on the web portal from March 2, 2026.
  • You will also receive an email confirming your child’s school place.
