Eat Well

Whether you're trying to lose weight, get in shape or just live a healthier life, eating well has lots of benefits.

From improving your health to saving you money, there are lots of reasons to eat well.

Where to start?

A good place to start is to identify some small changes you would like to make. This could be swapping full fat dairy products to low fat or swapping sugary fizzy drinks for water or sugar free squash.  Set yourself a goal, whether it's eating 5 fruit and veg a day and try and stick to it.

Top food tips

  • 5 A Day: Soups and salads are good for getting in extra veg
  • Fat: Swap high fat foods for ones that are lower in saturated fat, like full fat milk for semi-skimmed.
  • Sugar: Cut down by watching out for sugar when you shop and making smart sugar swaps
  • Salt : Shop for low-salt or reduced-salt foods, and watch out for salt by checking the labels on everyday items.
