Access your account online with the new Citizen Access Portal.

We’ve launched a new Citizen Access Portal where you can view more detailed information about your accounts and claims — all in one place. To use the portal, you’ll need to register for a Citizen Access account.

What you can do with your Account:

  • View your Council Tax or Business Rates bills online
  • Check your Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support entitlement
  • See payments made and income details used in your claim
  • Switch to paperless billing

Paperless Billing

Once you’ve registered, you can choose to receive your bills electronically. When a new bill is ready, you’ll get an email from noreply@wolverhampton.gov.uk letting you know it’s available to view online.

Note: The email won’t include the bill itself — you’ll need to log in to your account to view it. Also, check your junk folder in case the email doesn’t appear in your inbox.

You don’t have to wait for an email — you can log in and view your bills anytime.

If you haven’t signed up for paperless billing, you’ll continue to receive paper bills by post.

Important for Joint Council Tax Accounts

If you share responsibility for paying Council Tax with someone else, each person must register separately to receive their own e-bill. Please ask them to create their own Citizen Access account.
