The payment will be awarded to those existing Housing Benefit claimants who move to Universal Credit from 11 April 2018.
The payment will be awarded automatically unless the migration to Universal Credit is prompted by a change of address and the existing Housing Benefit was being paid to the Landlord.
In these cases, the two-week payment must be paid to you the claimant.
For the council to make this payment to the claimant the claimant's bank details are required. We will also require proof of the account. Please provide a bank statement or other documentation showing the name on the account, sort code and account number.

Only complete this form if all the following apply;
- You have been contacted by a member of the Revenues & Benefits Team at City of Wolverhampton Council
- You have changed your address and this prompted a new claim for Universal Credit
- You were in receipt of Housing Benefit and this was being paid to your Landlord immediately before your changed address
The Council is under a duty to protect the public funds it administers, and to this end may use the information you have provided in support of your Housing Benefit claim for the prevention and detection of fraud. It may also share this information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds for these purposes.
