Local Access Forum (LAF)
Local Access Forums (LAF’s) were established after the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 introduced a requirement for all Councils outside London to set up a LAF.
About Local Access Forums
Local Access Forum members represent users, land managers and those with other interests, e.g. conservation, tourism and disabilities. The LAF’s function is to consider and advise on a wide range of access and open-air recreational issues, drawing on their members’ local knowledge, expertise and experience.
Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Joint Local Access Forum was established in September 2003 and Wolverhampton joined in July 2005 to form the Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton Joint Local Access Forum.
The Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton JLAF is administered by Staffordshire County Council and Legal Services, and Officers from the Public Rights of Way Team are observers and assist in servicing meetings.
Raise an issue about Wolverhampton
Members of the public are invited to raise issues with the Forum should they wish, by contacting the Forum Secretary Val Yaxley.
