Planning and introduction of bus lanes

Wolverhampton City Council is responsible for the planning and introduction of bus lanes across the City.

Bus lanes help to make public transport more reliable and contribute to objectives in the West Midlands Local Transport Plan, see section 4 Objectives.

There are approximately 4 km of bus lanes in Wolverhampton; provided to increase bus service reliability for the benefit of passengers and to make bus services more attractive to non-users. Details of the bus lanes in Wolverhampton can be found by using this link.
