Park and ride (Christmas 2007)

Avoid the traffic queues this Christmas by taking advantage of the city's free park and ride scheme.

  • Park and ride from 17 November (Saturdays only)
  • Park and ride everyday from Monday 10 December until Saturday 29 December (but no service on Sundays or 25 and 26 December)

What is park and ride?

Park and ride lets you park your car in one of the city's designated car parks and take the bus into town. And it's all free!

Buses run approximately every ten minutes to and from the car parks, taking you right into the centre of Wolverhampton’s shopping area.

Park and ride car parks are all free, illuminated and patrolled by security personnel, and travel on the buses is free.

Where are the car parks?

The car parks are located at:

  • Dunstall Racecourse
  • The Science Park
  • Wednesfield Swimming and Fitness Centre

Which bus do I catch?

The following buses go to and from the car parks and the city centre:

  • Bus 590 - Dunstall Racecourse (terminates at Lichfield Street)
  • Bus 592 - Science Park (terminates at Lichfield Street)
  • Bus 591 - Wednesfield Swimming and Fitness Centre (terminates at Market Street).

When do the buses run?

  • First bus - 10am
  • Last bus - 5pm

Please note, there will be no service on Sundays or Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Park and ride ends on Saturday 29th December.
