City centre controlled parking zone

Wolverhampton city centre is a designated controlled parking zone

A controlled parking zone is an area where all on-street parking is restricted and enforced. Parking is only permitted in designated bays and the remainder of the kerbside space is subject to other traffic regulation orders.

The purpose of the zone is to discourage commuters and long stay parking within the area.
