City of Wolverhampton Council takes taxi licensing seriously. Public safety is paramount and we are constantly working to improve our processes to protect people.
The Council is working to support hackney carriage and private hire vehicle proprietors in making the transition to ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs).
Applications for a Licence to Drive a Private Hire Vehicle will only be processed when an applicant has undertaken the one day training and assessment course.
When heading home, make sure you are taking a licensed vehicle. These will either need to be pre-booked or found at one of our taxi ranks.

Motor vehicles are no longer able to access the station via Railway Drive. Instead, they must access the station, multi-storey car park, short stay parking, passenger drop off/pick up area and taxi rank via Corn Hill.
