All secondary schools in Wolverhampton provide numerous opportunities for you and your child to visit before expressing a preference.

Applications should be made online, and a Parents' Guide to Admissions [1Mb] is available to help you make your application.

Apply online here via The City of Wolverhampton Parents Portal

Before making your application please ensure that you have read and understood the pdf icon Secondary Education in Wolverhampton booklet [2Mb] which contains important information about making your school place application.

Applications must be made by the national closing date for applications of 31 October 2018. Making an application after the closing date can reduce the chance of your child gaining a place at one of your preferred school choices.

You are allowed to express a preference for five schools.  Due to the popularity of Wolverhampton schools, you are encouraged to use all five preferences

In addition to the online application, if you are applying to the following school's you are required to complete an additional Supplementary Information Form. The form should be completed and returned direct to the school.

Applying online has the following benefits:

  • Applications are made through a secure website

  • Applications can be viewed/edited online up to the closing date for applications (31 October 2018)

  • Applicants can access their child's school place allocation online on 1 March 2019 rather than having to wait for the post

Further advice on the transfer process is available from the Admissions and Appeals Team on 01902 551122 or email school.admissions@wolverhampton.gov.uk
