School Admissions Applications

For children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 school applications must be made by 15 January 2019.

This also includes Year 2 to 3 transfers for Infant to Junior Schools

The online facility is open from 8 November 2018. You must apply by 15 January 2019.

All primary schools in Wolverhampton provide numerous opportunities for you and your child to visit before expressing a preference.

Applications should be made online, and a Parents' Guide to Admissions [1Mb] is available to help you make your application.

Before making your application please ensure that you have read and understood the pdf icon Primary Education in Wolverhampton booklet [15Mb] which contains important information about making your school place application.

Applications must be made by the national closing date for applications of 15 January 2019. Making an application after the closing date can reduce the chance of your child gaining a place at one of your preferred school choices.

You are allowed to express a preference for five schools.  Due to the popularity of Wolverhampton schools, you are encouraged to use all five preferences

Applying online has the following benefits:

  • Applications are made through a secure website
  • Applications can be viewed/edited online up to the closing date for applications (15th January 2019)
  • Applicants can access their child's school place allocation online on 16 April 2019 rather than having to wait for the post

Secondary Education

From 1st March 2019, Wolverhampton residents can find out the allocated school for Year 7 in September 2019

If you applied online to commence secondary education in September 2019 the web portal is available from 1 March 2019 in order to view the allocation made.

The portal can be accessed here and you will also receive an email confirming the allocation.

The deadline for applying for a Year 7 place for September 2019 was 31 October 2018. Therefore, if you have still not applied please complete the pdf icon CAF1 LATE FORM [74kb] or contact the Admissions and Appeals Team on 01902 551122 or email via school.admissions@wolverhampton.gov.uk

In addition to the late application form, if you are applying to the following school's you are required to complete an additional Supplementary Information Form. The form should be completed and returned direct to the school.
