The City's first online forum was held on Wednesday June 29th, 2005.

Wolverhampton’s two Chief Police Officers ended the inaugural online forum by thanking members of the public for their contribution to the  debate.

Chief Superintendants Andy Armstrong and Gary Cann concluded the ninety minute question and answer session via the  Wolverhampton Partnership website by thanking the participants:

“We’d like to thank all persons who have taken part in the discussion this afternoon,” said Chief Superintendant Armstrong.

And Chief Superintendant Cann hopes to use the technology again in the future: “It was a very enjoyable discussion and I hope we are invited to take part again.”

The online debate kicked off at 12:30pm with the officers answering questions about value for money, beggars in the City Centre, response times for answering telephone calls and equalities. The variety of topics was warmly welcomed by Chief Superintendant Armstrong.

“I have found it very interesting with regard to the issues raised and in the use of this technology as an additional communications tool,” he added.
