Civil emergencies - Trauma support service
Many people could be affected after a major incident and many may need initial or on-going support to deal with it.
Social Services offer a range of support services and would take the lead if such an incident occurred.
We work closely with voluntary and statutory agencies, so that the services they provide are complementary to those already available. Below are a few examples of what they offer:
- immediate practical support
- emotional support
- telephone support and incident helpline
- support to Police Casualty Bureau
- media interest support
