Groups and organisations at Graiseley Community Healthy Living Centre

A variety of community groups and organisations use the facilities at Graiseley Community Healthy Living Centre.

The current groups include:

  • EKTA Day Centre
  • Gujarati ESOL Student Group 
  • Heath Town Senior Citizens Group
  • African Caribbean Cultural Initiative (ACCI)

About community group users

EKTA Day Centre

Ekta day centre offer rehabilitation and day services for Asian elders. The centre is situated on the Penn Road.

The group meet at Graiseley Community Healthy Living centre every Wednesday 10.30am-11.30am. The group of men and women use the centre for some gentle exercise with a qualified fitness instructor. For further information contact Ekta Day Centre on 01902 553554.

The Gujarati ESOL Senior Citizen's group

The Women's Senior Citizen's group meet at the centre on Thursdays 12noon-2.00pm, and they utilise the gym facilities. The group also meet three days each week at Blakenhall Community Centre Dudley Road. For Further information or to join the group contact Pushpaben Patel on 01902 459963.

Heath Town Senior Citizen's Group

Heath Town Senior Citizen's group is based on the Wednesfield Road, Heath Town. The group visit Graiseley Community Healthy Living Centre every Monday 11.30am-12.30. The enthusiastic group of both male and female customers have attended the centre for over 12 months. For further information contact Heath Town Senior Citizen Centre on: 01902 453359.

African Caribbean Cultural Initiative (ACCI)

African Caribbean Cultural Initiative (ACCI) is based on the Newhampton Road, Whitmore Reans. The Group attend the centre every Wednesday 1-3pm. For further information call 01902 571230.

Weight Management

All the groups that utilise the centre benefit from exercise whilst also enjoying the informal atmosphere of the centre, contributing to their quality of life.
