Sport and health events

Our sport development staff at Aldersley Leisure Village and healthy lifestyles staff at Graiseley Centre help with organising a range of sports and health events throughout the city.

They also work to attract a range of local, regional and national sporting events to the city.

Previous events

There are a number of events that we have been instrumental in bringing to Wolverhampton in the past, some of which return year on year. These include:

  • England Hockey under 16s Indoor Schools Event
  • West Midlands Boccia Tournament
  • No Messin'- Network Rail initiative
  • Flying the Flag - Olympic and Paralympic Handover for London 2012.
