Sport Development events

Officers within the team are responsible for running local sporting events across the city and also attracting a range of local, regional and national events to Wolverhampton.

There are a number of events that officers have been instrumental in bringing to Wolverhampton in the past, some of which return year on year. These include:

  • England Hockey U16 Indoor Schools Event
  • West Midlands Boccia Tournament
  • No Messin'- Network Rail initiative
  • Flying the Flag ceremonies to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Handover for London 2012
