Sport development

What is sport development?

Sport development is the provision and improvement of opportunities to participate in active recreation, at a level determined only by the individual's interest or ability.

Sport development is concerned with ensuring opportunity for all, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability or level of participation.

What we do

We promote activity for the beginner through to world class athletes, coaches, officials and administrators and offer opportunity for those who wish to take part in active recreation for health and wellbeing or at a competitive level.

We aim, through sport to deal with a variety of issues from social integration and inclusion, health, community regeneration and crime and encourage the community as a whole to become active.
