Sports coaching

Sport Development promotes courses within Wolverhampton and across the region to anyone who is interested in becoming a qualified coach or expanding their existing coaching skills.

Coaching qualifications, alongside supporting qualifications can lead to paid employment and volunteering opportunities within sports clubs and organisations.

Become a Coach

In order to become a fully qualified sports coach you would need to undertake;

In some instances you may be required to gain a license (Tennis and Swimming).

Other SCUK and Running Sport workshops you may want/need to undertake include

Funding for courses

The cost of completing these courses can be restrictive for individuals and clubs wishing to get coaches qualified.

We try to make clubs and individuals aware of funding opportunities for sport when we become aware of them through our grants and funding section, however if you still need assistance do not hesitate to contact us.

Black Country Coaching Bursary

The Black Country BeActive Partnership are currently offering support towards coaching qualifications. Visit the grants and funding section for more information and for an application form.
