War memorials

Within the grounds of St Peter's Gardens, three memorials can be found. These are the Sailor Statue by the fountain, a cross by the fountain and the big cenotaph adjacent to the piazza.

Other sites around the city which hold significance are:

• St Philip's war memorial
• Coronation Park
• Heath Town Park
• Tyburn Road
• Ward Street
• Oxford Street
• Woodlands Walk (unofficial small stone)

The parks team arrange maintenance of the sites and ensure the cleaning of all memorials as necessary prior to Remembrance Sunday in November.
