Park Rangers

What is a park ranger?

A park ranger in Wolverhampton does various things:

  • carries out high profile patrols
  • attends regular community meetings
  • visits schools
  • helps young people get involved in the parks
  • identifies improvements in the park environment
  • supervises volunteers
  • carries out risk assessments
  • promotes guided walks and talks
  • discourages anti-social behaviour

Our crew of rangers (both permanent and seasonal) are made up of a team of dedicated men and women that help our visitors to enjoy our parks in a safe, secure, clean and happy environment.
