Other information about the farm

The farmhouse itself was built during the reign of Elizabeth I, in around 1600.  The site was subject to the "Hearth Tax" between 1662 until it was repealed in 1689.  Some people believe it to be haunted, but you must decide for yourself (tic).

It is detailed within the Unitary Development Plan (UDP).

House tours are run by the Friends of Northycote Farm.

There are free led walks around the site, click here for details.

Visitors are asked not to feed or pet the animals as they are kept on a strict diet.

If you have a dog and would like to bring it to the country park, please click here for more information.
